Principles of Good Practice for Intercultural Exchanges


The purpose of intercultural exchanges is to promote the following goals:
  • Living and studying or providing community service in another country to provide individuals with the opportunity for personal development;
  • Acquisition of new skills and knowledge of other cultures as well as insight into the individual’s own society and his or her role in it;
  • Fostering of international understanding; and
  • Contributing to peaceful cooperation between nations.
