New Zealand Council for Intercultural Education
The New Zealand Council for Intercultural Education is composed of the leading secondary school exchange organisations in New Zealand. NZCIE acts to promote the importance and education value of secondary exchange programmes and seeks improvements in the policy and regulatory framework. NZCIE aims to provide a coherent and unified voice on key issues affecting the industry. |
The members of NZCIE believe that international education for students is essential to the global good. It encourages diversity, inclusion and being kind. In New Zealand, we see international education as a way to grow global citizens who have hearts and minds open to learning, new experiences and unity.
Our deepest sympathies are with the families affected by COVID-19 and we stand with international communities who have suffered terrible losses, around the world. We know that the New Zealand Government is determined that New Zealand remains a safe and kind society.
New Zealand is an inclusive society that promotes peace and security around the world. This is something that we are proud of. We remain firmly committed to making sure all international students feel safe and well during their high school exchanges in our country.
We strongly believe that New Zealand remains one of the safest places through these challenging times. For this reason, the New Zealand Council of International Exchanges (NZCIE) is committed to promoting the importance of intercultural understanding and supporting the well-being of all future and current international students and their families, during this time.
Kia Kaha
